I’m Chelsi! I was born, raised, and still live in a small Ohio town. I love living close to my family and knowing they are always only a quick car ride away. There may not be much to do in my rural town, but there sure is so much Midwestern love.

I married my high school sweetheart, Cody, in 2015 after graduating college. Next year, marks the point we’ve been together longer than we’ve been apart. Crazy!

I graduated from Ashland University with a degree in Journalism and Digital Media, quickly left my small Ohio town for a small Alabama town, working as a TV news reporter. As much as I loved my job and Alabama (War Eagle), my heart belonged home where my husband could pursue his dream of being a firefighter close to friends and family. We adopted two lab mix pups, Layla and Georgia, and started our fur family.

I always wanted a potential career and degree to fall back on, but my lifelong dream was to be a mom. In 2016, after moving back to the Buckeye state (O-H), we welcomed the most beautiful little girl, Cambri Maye. Two and a half years later, in 2019, came our second sweet daughter Mayla Grace.

My career in journalism sparked my passion for writing. While looking for a creative outlet for myself, I decided to combine my love of writing and motherhood, with what I’ve discovered is missing in the mom-blog community, chaos.

I’m so excited to take you along on this journey with me. I am always open to suggestions of what to write about, so feel free to shoot me a message with your thoughts.

I hope I can begin to break down the barrier that us moms (and dads!) have to have it all figured out. A little bit of chaos and a whole lot of honesty can be absolutely beautiful!
